Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the FarmBridge platform ("Platform", "Service"), including our website at farmbridge.pk and any associated mobile applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. FarmBridge reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform following any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Platform Description

FarmBridge is an online agricultural marketplace that connects verified Pakistani farmers ("Farmers") with international buyers ("Buyers"). The Platform facilitates the listing, discovery, negotiation, and transaction of agricultural products. FarmBridge acts solely as an intermediary facilitating connections between Farmers and Buyers and is not a party to any transaction between them except as specified herein.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify FarmBridge immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. FarmBridge reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Farmer accounts require additional verification including CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) verification, farm location verification in Punjab/Pakistan, and contact information validation. Buyer accounts require email verification and country of residence confirmation.

4. Farmer Obligations

As a Farmer using FarmBridge, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the legitimate owner or authorized seller of the agricultural products you list; (b) all product descriptions, photos, weights, grades, and certifications are accurate; (c) you hold all necessary licenses and permits to sell and export agricultural products from Pakistan; (d) you will fulfill confirmed orders within agreed timeframes; (e) you will cooperate with export documentation requirements including phytosanitary certificates where required.

5. Buyer Obligations

As a Buyer, you agree to: (a) provide accurate shipping and contact information; (b) complete payment for confirmed orders; (c) comply with import regulations in your country; (d) arrange appropriate import licenses where required; (e) inspect goods upon receipt and report discrepancies within 72 hours of delivery.

6. Platform Fees

FarmBridge charges a platform fee of eight percent (8%) on the gross sale value of each completed transaction. This fee is deducted from the Farmer's payment upon release of escrow funds. Listing on FarmBridge is free of charge. There are no subscription fees, no browsing fees for Buyers, and no withdrawal fees for Farmers. FarmBridge reserves the right to modify its fee structure with thirty (30) days advance notice.

7. Payments & Escrow

FarmBridge uses a secure escrow system for all transactions. Buyer payment is collected and held upon order confirmation. Funds are released to the Farmer upon Buyer confirmation of delivery or automatically after a specified dispute window (typically 7 days after confirmed delivery). FarmBridge supports PayPal, Wise (TransferWise), bank wire (SWIFT), and major credit/debit cards. All payments are subject to the terms of the applicable payment processor.

8. Prohibited Activities

Users of FarmBridge agree not to: (a) list or sell prohibited goods including goods subject to export bans; (b) provide false information about product quality, weight, or certifications; (c) manipulate prices or collude with other users; (d) use the Platform for money laundering or financial fraud; (e) infringe intellectual property rights; (f) attempt to circumvent the Platform's fee structure; (g) engage in harassment or abuse of other users.

9. Intellectual Property

FarmBridge and its licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Platform, including but not limited to the FarmBridge name, logo, design, code, and content. Users grant FarmBridge a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce photos and content uploaded by users solely for the purpose of operating the Platform.

10. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. FARMBRIDGE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE QUALITY, SAFETY, LEGALITY, OR ACCURACY OF ANY LISTINGS. FARMBRIDGE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DISPUTES BETWEEN FARMERS AND BUYERS, THOUGH WE PROVIDE DISPUTE RESOLUTION ASSISTANCE. FARMBRIDGE DOES NOT GUARANTEE CONTINUOUS, UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS TO THE PLATFORM.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FARMBRIDGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. FARMBRIDGE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF FEES PAID BY YOU TO FARMBRIDGE IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. For international Buyers, applicable international trade laws and conventions may also apply to specific transactions.
